Ergonomic Design for a Medical Device
Oxilight Inc is seeking innovative solutions for the ergonomic and appealing mechanical design of a new medical device aimed at improving patient care in bedside settings. The current challenge is to create a design that is both user-friendly and efficient, ensuring ease of use in resource-limited settings. The project will focus on integrating industrial design principles with mechanical functionality to enhance the device's usability and aesthetic appeal. The goal is to develop a prototype that balances form and function, taking into account factors such as weight, size, and material selection. Learners will apply their classroom knowledge in industrial and mechanical design to address these challenges, ensuring the device meets industry standards and user needs.

Cross-Platform Mobile App Image Processing Enhancement
Add to an existing Flutter app advanced image processing capabilities. The project consists of several steps: Integrate OpenCV into the Flutter app Implement object recognition (circle) Implement minor amendments to the app flow based on the developed functionality (e.g. auto-capture)

Prototyping
Our company develops MedTech and HealthTech solutions. We want to expand our product offering and would like to collaborate with students to produce a prototype for a new design idea. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with a business problem. Creating drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD). Updating prototypes based on feedback and design decisions. Documenting details about design components. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Developing new design ideas for future prototyping.
