First Meeting: A 1-hour meeting where the industry partner provides a general information session on the organization, its AI use-cases, and the specific questions the students will explore. The representative will answer student questions.

February 24, 2026Second meeting, Feb 23-27 or March 9-13
Second Meeting: Students schedule a follow-up touchpoint with the industry partner. They will present their research question and progress thus far, and ask questions and receive feedback.

March 31, 2026Final presentations, March 30, April 1 and 8
Presentations: The student teams will deliver their presentations to the class and partners (in-person or virtually). This would also serve as the third and final touchpoint. The written report will be submitted after your feedback from the final presentation.
Partners will join in-class if possible, otherwise a separate presentation to partners will be scheduled during this time. There may be opportunities to attend the presentations for the other participating organizations.
The class is scheduled for 1:05-2:25pm Mondays and Wednesdays.

ethical ai ethical standards and conduct artificial intelligenceIn this project, students in groups of 4-6 assume the role of organizational consultants, providing advice on topics related to responsible AI and AI ethics such as: how to develop responsible AI policies, managing the ethical considerations related to an AI implementation, and addressing the impact of AI on the workforce. Students will work on a specific AI-related problem or topic of interest that you have articulated, providing you with their insights or suggestions. The projects give students an in-depth overview of the challenges involved in identifying and addressing the ethical implications of AI use in a business context as well as the implications for society.
